28-year-old dead, 2 others injured in shooting at Clinton party of 200

CLINTON, NC (WNCN) — A 28-year-old man has been identified as the person killed in a shooting at a large party early Sunday outside of Clinton.
MPs said that The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. on Sunday on block 100 of Veteran’s Lane, southeast of Clinton.
Officials said one victim, Kquadem Treydonus Parker of Newton Grove, was taken to hospital, where he later died.
Two other victims, a 27-year-old from Garland and a 26-year-old from Mount Olive, were also shot and taken to the hospital.
The 27-year-old is in intensive care. The other victim was treated and discharged.
Around 200 people were at the party, and MPs said the party had private security guards.
According to officials, the shooting happened next to the Veterans of Foreign Wars post at a property owned by the Kirtwood Swimming Pool Club.
The sheriff’s office said the party had private security.
MPs said most attendees fled the party and there is no suspicious information at this time.
said Octavia Parker Kquadem Parker was her cousin and he was a host of the party.
“Everybody’s just trying to figure out why,” Parker said. “He always tried to keep everyone on track. That was one of my dearest cousins.”
Initially, MPs said there were four victims of shootings. On Monday MPs said there were three victims.
“The initial confusion with a chaotic scene and victims being transported to multiple hospitals resulted in an inaccurate county,” the sheriff’s office said in a release.
