25 acres of land burned after a grass fire broke out near Spring Cypress

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Klein Fire Department is still on the scene to clean up after a grass fire broke out about 25 acres, officials said.

The fire happened Monday across from Klein Cain High School in Spring Cypress.

Witnesses said the fire was started by someone mowing their lawn, but the investigation is ongoing.

Officials said one firefighter was injured but received medical attention.
