Two motorists were killed following a collision in Highland on Monday, January 24, authorities said.
Around 1:15 p.m., a 26-year-old woman from San Bernardino was driving a blue 2013 Hyundai Accent south along Highway 330, near Highland Avenue, police said. A 39-year-old Arrowbear woman was driving a blue 2009 Toyota Prius traveling north on the road when the driver of the Hyundai turned left into the northbound lane for unknown reasons and collided head-on with the front of the vehicle. the Toyota.

The speed of either vehicle is not known at this time, and drugs or alcohol are not believed to be the cause, said Sheriff Ivan Sandoval, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol.
The driver of the Toyota died at the scene. The driver of the Hyundai was taken to the hospital with major injuries and later died.
