16-year-old twins die in a car crash in Franklin County

ZEBULON, NC (WNCN) — 16-year-old twin brothers were killed in a car accident in rural Franklin County late Wednesday, the Highway Patrol said.

Sergeant Chris Knox of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said officers responded to the scene at around 10:18 p.m. on Howard Tant Road in Franklin County, near Bunn

Knox said Garrett Cribb was driving south with his brother Gabriel in the passenger seat when the car veered right off the lane.

The vehicle drove into a ditch before colliding with a tree.

Both died at the scene, the Highway Patrol said.
