15 year old Gianna – CBS Boston

(MARE) – Gianna is an outgoing and friendly teenage girl, described as quiet (at first when meeting people) and sweet, with a great sense of humour. Gianna loves fitness, 5K running/walking, and being active. Gianna’s social worker describes her as a resilient, very consistent and kind-hearted child.
Legally free to adopt, Gianna would do best in the home of a married woman, where she is an only child. She will need to continue to communicate with her sister, who has been booked separately. Gianna loves animals and learns about how to care for different animals and would love to have a family with a pet. In a future home, Gianna hopes to have her own room. Her social worker is willing to explore local families that are likely to start as a source of support visiting her to build relationships prior to placement.

Since its founding in 1981, Saturday’s Child has been a partnership of the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE), the Department of Children & Families, and WBZ-TV/CBS Boston. Hosted by Jack Williams for 34 years, this weekly series has brought face and voice to the kids who have been waiting for their families the longest. April’s Child has helped find homes for hundreds of children in need and continues to raise awareness about foster care adoptions.
