14 years old crashed car into a building

WATERBURY, Connecticut (WFSB) – A 14-year-old boy crashed his car into a building on 215 Baldwin Road in Waterbury.
The vehicle crashed into a retail store located on the first floor of the building. Above the store, there are several residential apartments.
The driver fled the scene but was later taken to St. Mary’s.
The 14-year-old driver was arrested on charges of driving a vehicle and motorbike.
The driver’s injuries were not life-threatening.
The Waterbury Building Inspector’s Office has relocated residents until they have determined the property is safe to use. The front of the building was heavily damaged.
No one in the building at the time of the accident was injured as a result of this incident.
