£13million international goes to Nottingham Forest Medical in agreed deal today

Valued at £13million, Argentina international Nicolas Dominguez will reportedly undergo a medical at Nottingham Forest today before joining the Premier League club in exchange for Remo Freuler.

It may have been a relatively quiet window for Nottingham Forest. At least compared to last summer’s Kid in a Candy Shop recruiting approach. But with so many targets reportedly en route to the city ground in the last 48 hours of the month, Steve Cooper’s squad could still pack an entire summer’s drama into just two short days.

Accordingly the athlete, Nottingham Forest approach Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi and Arsenal full-back Nuno Tavares. Fenerbahce striker Michy Batshuayi is also set to return to England.

The forest is getting closer Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos to.

And per tuttomercatowebThere will also be at least one addition in central midfield. After showing interest in the likes of Ibrahim Sangare, Florentino Luis and Youssouf Fofana, with offers in the region of £30m for the latter two, Forest appear to have opted for a cheaper, albeit less publicized, takeover.

Nottingham Forest sign Nicolas Dominguez from Bologna

Nicolas Dominguez will arrive in England today before undergoing medical tests. Dominguez, who has 11 caps for Argentina, is a tenacious, impressively versatile footballer whose energy, athleticism and torsion could reportedly net him £13million.

The report adds that Remo Freuler will join Bologna in return. The veteran Switzerland international only joined Nottingham Forest from Atalanta in 2022 but has yet to play a minute of Premier League football this season.

Forest increased his interest in Dominguez after failing to poach Fofana and Luis from Monaco and Benfica respectively. Wilmar Barrios, meanwhile, made it clear he had no interest in leaving Zenit St. Petersburg for the two-time European champions.

“Conversations from outside are normal. I defend the colors of this shirt in every game,” Barrios tells the Russian website Meta Ratings. “Yes, I have an offer from Nottingham Forest.

“But I’m 100% focused on Zenit.”
