13-year-old from trio arrested in fatal assault in Queens

A 13-year-old boy was among three teenagers charged with fatally assaulting a man in Queens, police officers said on Friday.
The trio, which included a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old, are accused of being involved in a brawl between two men during an argument just before 4pm Wednesday on Lefferts and Rockaway Boulevards in South Ozone Park.
A member of the group who attacked the couple pulled a knife and stabbed 20-year-old Justin Shaw in the chest, police officers said.
Shaw was taken to Jamaica Hospital but could not be saved.
The other 20-year-old man who was attacked was also taken to hospital with a stab wound to his right leg. He was expected to recover.
The teenage suspects were taken into custody shortly after and charged with assault and gang assault, police officers said. They have not been identified due to their age.

The oldest teenager was also charged with criminal gun possession.
It was unclear if police are looking for someone else in connection with Shaw’s death or if any of the arrested teenagers will be charged with murder.
Police officers said Friday they were unsure what sparked the fatal incident.
