13 injured in MTA bus and truck crash in New York City: officials

More than a dozen people were injured in an accident involving an MTA bus on the Upper West Side Thursday, officials said.

The M11 bus collided with a truck at about 11:20 a.m. at West 82nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue, the FDNY and NYPD said.

Thirteen people sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Morningside. A fourteenth person was also injured but refused medical attention, the FDNY said.

video for citizen app showed that the front window on the driver’s side of the bus was broken.

The bus was taken out of service after the accident, the MTA said.
