“10 games left to get into the XI”: The 22-year-old from Tottenham said he won’t be in the starting XI any time soon

Stephen Warnock says Brennan Johnson will need “ten games” to break into Ange Postecoglou’s first team following his deadline day transfer to Tottenham Hotspur.
The 22-year-old has been added to Tottenham’s already successful and fearless forward line, but Warnock believes there are only two positions he will fight for and those are the wings, as he said The football show on Sky Sports.
With Son Heung-min scoring a hat-trick in the last game against Burnley, no one will be quick to dethrone the club captain.
Brennan Johnson can play in the middle, but if he prefers either wing, then he plays on the right side.
The signing worth £48 million (Sky Sports) should have no problem fitting in at Tottenham having tried out Premier League football in Forest colours.
It also adds to a system that every striker in the world will simply have fun playing in.

Brennan Johnson faces competition
“He has to earn his place in the team, right?!” said Warnock. “It will be difficult for him to assert himself. Will he play against both sides?
“He will not put Son out of position because of this performance. I think it might take Brennan Johnson ten games to break into this team and show what he can do. Someone could get injured. A loss of form for one of the wider players.
“I don’t think Brennan Johnson plays through the middle, though. I actually see him playing one of those outside positions.
“But it could get to the point where Ange Postecoglou says: ‘I’m going to change them’, then he makes sure they stay fresh and hungry when they come off the bench. Impact player. When I played 60 minutes as a full-back against Kulusevski, who is coming for Brennan Johnson, I ask myself: “Where is the lull here?”

Johnson is an exciting prospect
As Ian Wright mentioned before Johnson could put pen to paper at Tottenham, the Wales international is “perfect” for the club.
Despite Nottingham Forest losing such a key figure and someone who had come through their academy, even Serge Aurier was pleased that he secured a transfer to Spurs.
Of course, there might be a hint of bias because Aurier played for the London club, but that shouldn’t obscure the fact that Johnson is one of Tottenham’s best signings in recent years.
