Try some of these tips to see if it helps your iPhone last a little longer.

iPhone can intelligently reduce power usage for you with battery saver mode.

It does this in a number of ways, such as preventing apps from refreshing in the background.

Performance is also sacrificed, so you may notice things slowing down a bit.

To enable battery saving mode, open Setting And find The battery.

From here, move Low energy mode above.

You can take it a step further from reducing the brightness and going into dark mode.

Dark mode removes bright features entirely, thus saving juice.

Many apps now also support it, including WhatsApp and Instagram.

To activate it, go to SettingFollowed by Screen brightness.

In the ‘Appearance’ section, select Dark.

Stop app refresh in the background

Apps running in the background are among the most power consuming apps.

Of course, it’s designed to be useful – WhatsApp will constantly refresh for new messages, for example, and Gmail will do the same for new emails.

If there are apps you don’t need to refresh constantly, it’s a good idea to simply stop them from doing so.

This can be done by going to Settingafterward overview.

Next, go to Background App Refresh.

From there, you can disable all background app refresh, or you can individually select the ones you want to stop from the list.

Turn off notifications

Apps that frequently send notifications will also affect the battery.

You can turn them off by going to Settingafterward Notify.

Option Show preview and set it to Never or When unlockeddepending on what you like.

Alternatively, you can select individual apps from the list and turn off notifications from those you don’t want.

Turn off boost to wake

Ever noticed how your phone lights up if you touch it a lot or pick it up?

It’s an advanced wake-to-wake feature, which means it comes in handy if you need a quick look at notifications or the time.

But of course, it uses batteries.

So if you don’t need it, turn it off by going to SettingFollowed by Screen brightness.
