Young Dolph Murder Suspect Arrested – Billboard

Man suspected of involvement in rapper Memphis’ murder Young Dolph currently in custody.

Justin Johnson, 23, was arrested in Indiana around 3 p.m. local time on Tuesday (January 11). Two Rivers and the Great Lakes Area Escape Task Force, based on Rolling Stone.

A week ago, an arrest warrant for Johnson was issued following the fatal shooting of the rapper, who was fatally shot at a popular cookie shop in November in his hometown of Memphis.

A first-degree murder warrant has been issued for Johnson in the fatal shooting of Young Dolph, real name Adolph Thornton Jr., the US Police Department said in a press release. A $15,000 reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest.

Police say two men got out of a white Mercedes-Benz on November 17 and opened fire at the Memphis bakery where Young Dolph, 36, was buying cookies, killing him. A private funeral was held for him on November 30, and a stretch of the street in the neighborhood where he grew up was renamed for him on December 15.
