You can buy the Isle of Vaila in Scotland for $2.1 million

Even frugal Scots would call this island a bargain.
Located in Shetland, the Isle of Vaila is on the market for a modest $2.1 million.
The secluded property, spread over 757 acres, includes a 17th-century mansion, about 6.5 miles of shoreline, and an 1894 clock tower.
Owners Richard Rowland and Dorota Rychlik are selling it after three decades of ownership.

“We’ve had a fantastic 30 years here and we’re getting on in years so I think the time has come for someone else to take over the place,” Rowland told Shetland News.
Back in 2020, The Post reported that the island was priced at just $300,000.
But given the rising cost of housing – and post-pandemic post-pandemic rents in New York City – the increase seems warranted.
