Yankees catcher Ben Rortvedt suffers an oblique injury

SARASOTA — The Yankees’ already tenuous catch took another hit this spring after newly acquired Ben Rortvedt was sidelined with an oblique injury, according to Aaron Boone.
The 24-year-old is still catching but not batting, threatening his readiness for the opening day.

Rortvedt was acquired by Minnesota in business that also brought Josh Donaldson and Isiah Kiner-Falefa to the Bronx in exchange for Gary Sanchez and Gio Urshela.
Left-hander Rortvedt is expected to share behind-the-plate time with Kyle Higashioka.
