xQc jokingly takes responsibility for Corpse Husband’s rise to fame: ‘I made him’

Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has taken responsibility for the stratospheric rise to fame of enigmatic streamer ‘Corpse Husband’ on Stream, explaining that playing with the star Among Us has been key in his breakout year of 2020.

To call Corpse Husband’s rise through internet fandom electric might be an understatement. The content creator and musician has amassed a following of millions since his eruption in 2020 – albeit with immense pressure to do so.

However, as they say, it takes a whole village to raise a child – and twitch king xQc jokingly believes this was the reason for Corpse’s rise. The Juicer baited his chat by jokingly claiming he was instrumental in the advent of the other streamer.

Taking a break from his usual high-energy antics, xQc spent much of his stream watching a video essay by Patrick CC titled “The strange cadaver‘, a look at its growth in 2020.

As the video progresses and begins looking at the stats surrounding the sudden surge in searches surrounding Corpse, xQc proudly places itself firmly in the Corpse lore.

“He played in mine [Among Us] Lobby where I literally made him,” he claimed.

“You can skip the rest of the video if you want, but I’m telling you right now, that’s the truth. I don’t give a shit.”

Felix’s chat erupted in a chorus of approval, and the streamer cheekily doubled down on his statement: “Yup, I made him, it’s what it is.”

The video continues by naming Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg as key to Corpse’s success and pointing to a number of Among Us videos that have been instrumental in building a fan base for the deep voice and the person behind it.

But the Juicer and his chat were quick to say that Lengyel is the “better Felix” when it comes to helping Corpse Boom.

Corpse’s success might be a bit more, especially given its burgeoning music career, but xQc can at least claim to be at the very beginning.
