Woman’s body was found on a beach in Essex when emergency services arrived on the scene

EMERGENCY services rushed to a beach after a woman’s body was discovered in Essex.
Essex Police have been contacted after a grim discovery was made on Thorpe Bay beach, Southend.
Officers attended and found the body around 7 a.m., but did not consider the death to be suspicious.
A file will be prepared for the coroner, with officers remaining at the scene to continue the investigation.
A large emergency services presence was seen on the beach while the incident was being handled this morning.
Coast Guard and ambulance were also present after the body was found.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “We were called shortly before 7am this morning (Tuesday 1st February) following reports of concerns for the welfare of a woman. at Southend.
“Officers attended and discovered the body of a woman on the beach at
East Esplanade.
“We do not consider anyone suspicious. Ambulances and the Coast Guard also attended.
“We remain at the scene as part of our investigation. A file will be prepared for the coroner.”
