A woman has opened up on Reddit after taking a DNA test and discovering she has 4 half siblings. A million questions popped up in her mind after going through the results. In the end, she found the secret that explains the results.
The woman found her ancestry decline very strange when she first looked at it because she did not expect her results to show she was partly European while her parents she does not.
At first, she laughed at the results and thought they must be wrong. Then she realized the chances of the DNA test being erroneous was very small.

The Redditor revealed that her parents are Morrocan, so she was surprised to learn that a large portion of her ancestry is European. OP explain:
“In the end I get 55% European, 45% North African.”
Confused, she opened the relatives section to see the results and discovered that she had 4 half-siblings, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. OP was shocked. She immediately shared the results with her friend, explaining how she felt.

Her friend was also shocked and suspected the results were incorrect. Curious, the woman looked for the possibility of error in the results and discovered that it was unlikely.
Looking at the surnames of each of her half-siblings, she realized they were all under different surnames.
A few internet searches suggest the only possibility that the error could be an incorrect relationship. The OP (Original Poster) immediately realized there were no flaws since her half-sibling was smaller than hers. She believes that they will be older than her to have a different relationship with her.

The realization formed too many questions in her mind. “Did my dad cheat on my mom? Did my mom cheat on my dad?” she request it is her.
She could feel her heart pounding as she thought about the possible scenarios. But after much flashback, she gave a reasonable answer to all her questions.
Looking at the surnames of each of her half-siblings, she realized they were all under different surnames. They live in different places but have 100% European ancestry.

OP also searched for her half-siblings on Facebook and sent their photos to her boyfriend. He admits that the OP is similar to all of them.
After considering all the facts, the OP concluded that her biological father must have donated to a sperm bank, which resulted in him having children living in different places.
“Well, that doesn’t really matter. My dad has always been my dad. Genes really don’t matter,” she said. thought. However, she begins to feel bad for herself after realizing she doesn’t have any genes with her father.

She added that she has no plans to tell this to her parents, nor is she mad at them. She sympathizes with her father thinking about what he went through when her mother was pregnant with her.
Since OP’s brother was sleeping when she got the results, she told him about it the next day. To her surprise, her brother said he suspected something similar because he overheard his parents discussing how expensive it was to have children.
After reading the supportive comments of others, the OP felt more at ease. She thanked other users and shared that she was curious to know what her biological father looked like.

Would you tell your parents about your test results if you were OP?
The OP chose to hide the results because she felt her parents would be embarrassed if she talked to them about it. She sympathized with her father and decided to keep quiet. Some might think she did the right thing. However, others may disagree, arguing that the girl should talk to her parents as they would better clear her doubts.
Should parents tell their children about their biological parents in such cases?
When the woman first saw the results, she thought that one of her parents was cheating on the other. That very thought may have created a lot of misunderstandings between the woman and her parents. Some might agree that the situation would have been different if the OP’s parents had informed her about her biological father sooner. On the other hand, some people may believe that it is difficult to be open about such things in front of children.
