The victim, a university student, had spent an evening during freshman week last year when he was viciously assaulted, a court heard.

Prosecutor Jeremy Barton said the victim ordered food from a diner and was sitting on a bench eating. reports Leeds Live.

He was approached by Parkin – who was under the influence of spice – in the early hours after clubbing.

Mr Barton said: “She asked for £10 and the complainant asked the accused if she wanted anything to eat and offered her a chicken nugget.”

Parkin didn’t answer but walked away and picked up a broken bottle. A witness saw her smash the bottle and walk back to the student holding the gun.

The witness yelled at the victim, concerned about Parkin’s “threatening” behavior, but didn’t hear the warning.

Mr Barton said: “The defendant literally walked up to him and stabbed him in the face with the broken glass bottle, causing a laceration.”

The victim was heard pulling a shard of glass from his face as members of the public helped stem the bleeding.

The victim went to the hospital, where the facial wound was cleaned and taped together.

He was released later that same day, avoiding permanent injury.

Another witness took the victim’s cell phone and used it to take pictures of Parkin. She was followed by security cameras as she walked downtown.

Police officers approached her and she picked up another bottle from the floor. She lifted the bottle over her head, but officers managed to hold her down.

The court also heard that Parkin assaulted a prison officer while she was in custody, injuring the officer’s thumb and kicking her in the head.

Parkin was told she was serving a four-year sentence, two-thirds of which must be spent in prison.

She must then serve another three years on license.

She has amassed 55 prior convictions for 109 offenses, including violence.

Judge Geoffrey Marson QC described the bottle attack as “evil and premeditated”.

He said: “When the victim offered you something to eat out of kindness, you walked away, armed yourself with a bottle, broke it on purpose, went back to him and punched him in the face, causing him a nasty wound with glass embedded in it, which the victim had to remove.
