Woman jumps over counter at Burger King in New York during attempted robbery

A woman jumped over the counter at a Burger King in the Bronx during an attempted robbery this week, new video shows.

The suspect placed an order at the fast food outlet on the Grand Concourse off East 150th Street in Mott Haven around 3pm Tuesday, police said.

Footage released early Wednesday shows the woman pulling out cash to pay and handing it to the worker.

The money-hungry suspect fell over the counter and snatched about $250 from the drawer, footage shows.

When the clerk opened the register to look for change, the money-hungry suspect fell over the counter and snatched about $250 from the drawer – while other customers stood by, according to police and video.

Workers tried to grab the woman, the clip shows, and eventually managed to get the money back.

One of the employees, a 23-year-old man, suffered a cut to his head during the fight but refused medical attention.

Police are trying to locate the suspect, who is described as being in her 20s, approximately 5ft 7 tall, dark complexioned and of slim build.

She was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a black hoodie, blue jeans and black sneakers.
