THE last Sunday in March means the clocks are put forward and we switch to British Summer Time.
Be sure to do this at 1am on March 27th the time The device you probably use the most, your phone, is changing.

These include smartphones, smartwatches, TV and radios.
And it should apply to pretty much every model, whether it’s Apple, Android or another.
But if you want to be sure that your 7am alarm will go off at 7am, then it might be wise to check your phone settings.
You can confirm if you have set your “Date and time” options to “Set automatically”.
Even if your phone is off at the time of the change, it should update as soon as it’s turned on.
If you have an older phone that isn’t considered “smart,” you may need to update the time manually.
How can I manually change the time on my phone?
Some phones may need to be updated manually.
Or maybe you’re the type to set the time yourself.
Either way, you can manually change the time on your phone.
- Go to Settings’.
- Go to “General”.
- If you scroll down, you should select “Date & Time” and select it.
- Disable Set Automatically if it’s on.
- Click on the time displayed and enter the time you want to set.
- Your time will be changed.
When do the clocks change?
the Clocks always come first in March and back in October.
This year the clocks go forward one hour at 1am on March 27th.
It marks the beginning of British Summer Time (BST) and the end of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
The change will show British spend an hour less in bed, but it will also bring brighter evenings.
Everyone will then gain an hour of sleep in October when the clocks are advanced and the UK returns to GMT.
