Why was Maury deposed?
It has been reported that the popular NBCUniversal series Maury will end original production this year after 30 seasons.
The show’s host, Maury Povich, also plans to retire at the end of production. Maury Povich and his team did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Although the show will end production at the end of this season, the original episodes will continue to air through September. Reruns of the show will then air in syndication.


When did Maury start?
Maury originally started as The Maury Povich Show in 1991 by Paramount Domestic Television.
However, in 1998 the show’s name was changed to Maury. In the same year, the program was acquired by Studio USA.
Subsequently, Studio USA was acquired by NBCUniversal.
The show is popularly known for controversial issues, which usually include the release of paternity test results on television.
Speaking of his show with the Chicago Tribune in 2012, Maury Povich stated, “You touch on so many classic themes, whether it’s love, mistrust, conflict or drama, is he the father, isn’t he. While soap operas play these themes over six months, we play them over 12 minutes.”

Maurice Richard Povich, commonly known as Maury Povich, was born on January 17, 1939 in Washington, DC.
Povich began his career as a radio reporter at a Washington radio station called WWDC.


However, he is widely known as a television personality and host of The Maury Show.
As of March 2022, Povich has an estimated net worth of approximately $80 million.
