Of all Oscar Isaac’s films and series, he doesn’t typically have to play multiple DID characters at once. Filming for Disney+ moon knight TV show, he asked for a change to get more familiar with the concept.
“You know, it’s also a lot of fun to find out. But one of the things I did, because I wasn’t quite comfortable with switching between the two, I asked if we could start with Steven,” Isaac said Digital Spy.

While Episode 1 mainly starred Steven Grant, he teased fans that he would be changing more in future episodes. In Marvel Comics, Moon Knight like allies Spiderman and Doctor Strange sometimes struggle to keep up.
“I ended up being able to do it in the same take, in the same moment. I could switch between the two, and it could just be something as simple as, you know, shoulders drop or it’s in the eyes. It was a real journey to get to this place.”

While juggling Marc Spector and Steven Grant initially felt tiring for Isaac, this was just the beginning.
In Marvel Comics, Moon Knight developed multiple identities over the years. Alongside Marc Spector and Steven Grant, cab drivers Jake Lockley also appeared frequently. A consultant identity named Mr. Knight also appears in both comics and the Marvel show.
Once Isaac mastered switching between at least two Moon Knight characters, he had even more to do. However, he quickly slipped into the role, leading fans to cite the show as one of the better Disney+ Marvel shows.
