Why is Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer being recalled?
On Sunday, March 20, 2022, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a recall of Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer due to possible bacterial contamination.
Some bottles of Jergens Ultra Healing Moisturizer may contain Pluralibacter gergoviae, which has the ability to alter the health of individuals with a compromised immune system.
Symptoms of Pluralibacter gergoviae infection can include breathing problems, weakness, fever, nausea, and vomiting.
The bacterial strain is not known to negatively affect healthy people.
Bottles manufactured between October 1st and October 18th, 2021 may contain the contamination.
Each affected bottle is either three ounces or 10 ounces.
