ANNIE Coons is married to US Senator Chris Coons, representing the state of Delaware.
Coons was elected in 2010 to represent his state.
Who is Annie Coons?
Annie is from Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
She attended Dennison University and worked on Sam Beard’s 1988 Senate campaign, Loud Cape Gazette.
The couple lives in Wilmington, Delaware with their three children, Michael, Jack and Maggie.


What is Annie’s career?
Much like her husband Chris, who founded and ran several caucuses for the US and Delaware, Annie is also very active in the Delaware community.
She serves on the board of directors of Children & Families First, the Central Branch YMCA, Catholic charities and the St. Francis Hospital Foundation.
According to the Cape GazetteAnnie is the chair of the Clear Space Theater for its capital campaign.
The campaign is working to raise money to finance the construction of a new theater and performance building.
What causes are Annie and Chris involved in?
Chris is involved in several bipartisan engagements for Delaware and the United States.
These include the Senate Human Rights Caucus, the Senate Competitiveness Caucus, the Senate Law Enforcement Caucus, the bipartisan Senate Climate Solutions Caucus, the Senate ALS Caucus, and the Senate Chicken Caucus.
Annie is the honorary chair of the Delaware chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Her friend had the illness that made her want to help others.
“My girlfriend is an incredible young woman,” Coons said loudly Delaware today.
“She is raising two daughters and cannot work. Watching them…I want to do whatever it takes to make a difference,” she continued.
Chris grew up in Presbyterian churches, where he was later ordained from the West Presbyterian Church in Delaware.
He continues to preach at various places of worship in Delaware.
