Who is Sarah Palin?

Sarah Palin is a high-profile Republican Party politician, author, and commentator.

The outspoken 58-year-old served as Alaska’s ninth governor from 2006 to 2009.

She rose to international prominence in 2008 as a vice presidential nominee on the Republican Party ticket.

The conservative politician teamed up with the Arizona Senator John McCain but eventually lost Barack Obama.

She was the first Alaskan on a major political party’s national map and the first Republican woman to be selected as a vice presidential nominee.

The mother-of-five was also the youngest person ever elected governor of Alaska.
