The UFC superstar hinted: “It’s going to be a hybrid fight with different rules, you know, MMA gloves in the ring. Something of a mix up. Do something a little different.”

Fury, 33, added in his post-fight press conference after defeating Whyte: “The great Francis Ngannou was here today. He’s on my hit list in an exhibition match, however he wants it. In a cage, in a boxing ring, boxing gloves, UFC gloves – we make it happen.

“I think everyone wants to see it. He’s a monster of a guy, I’m a monster of a guy, so it’s gonna be a clash of titans for sure.

And Fury’s American promoter Bob Arum said he imagined putting the finishing touches on the fight will be easy.

He told boxing reporter Lance Pugmire: “I don’t know what this guy’s contract situation is with the UFC.

“Obviously it’s a massive fight and it should be easy as both Tyson and [Ngannou] are on ESPN.”
