When is the Dr Who New Year special on BBC One?

DOCTOR who is back with a New Year special just a few weeks after wrapping up the 13th series.
The Daleks are back and this is the third and last time we’ll see Jodie Whittaker take on the role of Doctor for the New Year’s special.
When is Special Doctor’s Day on TV?
Doctor Who: Eve of the Daleks airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on 1 January 2022.
The episode will be available on BBC iPlayer live and will then be available for timely viewing.
Doctor Who specifically serves as part of the BBC’s festive TV list for the Christmas season.
What is Dr Who New Year special about?
The Which doctor? The special for the New Year is called Doctor Who: Eve of the Daleks.
The BBC’s press release for the episode reads: “Sarah (Aisling Bea) owns and operates the ELF archive, and Nick (Adjani Salmon) is a client who visits his unit every year at night. Eve.
“This year, however, their night turned out to be a little different than planned…”
In addition to the carnival theme, the new season serves as the first of the last three of Doctor Who to introduce Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor.
The second special will air in Spring 2022 before being followed by a third season in Fall 2022.
This third episode will watch Whittaker Departure Series, along with host Chris Chibnall.
Who is in the special cast of Doctor Who NY?
Jodie Whittaker is back once again as the Thirteenth Doctor.
She will be joined by her companions Yasmin Khan (Mandip Gill) and Dan Lewis (John Bishop) to try to save innocent lives from alien threats.
The guest cast for the episode has been confirmed by the BBC as:
