WhatsApp teases THREE new features ‘you might have missed’ in new update

WHATSAPP warned the world about three new features you might have missed.

The chat app – owned by Meta, formerly Facebook – regularly adds new tricks for you to try.

With the latest update, there are several new features that you can use.

The company highlighted three things that “you might have missed”.

“Over the past few months, we’ve made some changes to WhatsApp in response to some of your feature requests,” WhatsApp said.

To make sure you have the latest WhatsApp features, update your app in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Here are some of the new WhatsApp features…

Web Media Editor

This trick is mainly intended for people who use WhatsApp on phones and computers.

If you wanted to edit images on your version of WhatsApp PC, that was not possible before.

Instead, you have to go back to your phone to make the edit.

WhatsApp has now added a media editor to WhatsApp Web – so you can make the same edits on your PC as you can on your mobile device.

Link preview

Sending links is one of the main ways we communicate via WhatsApp.

We regularly send news stories, interesting websites and funny memes to each other via links.

Now WhatsApp has changed the app so you can see the full preview before sending the link.

And the people who receive it get more context about what you sent – and importantly, what they’re about to click on.

Recommend stickers

Another big change is the addition of Sticker Hints.

Usually, using Stickers on WhatsApp involves navigating several panels.

So WhatsApp has been trying to make finding stickers “faster and easier”, the app makers said.

Now as you type, you will be prompted with suggestions for Stickers that you might want to use.

WhatsApp can’t see these Sticker searches or your private messages – if you’re worried about privacy.

Processing is done locally, so your chats are safe.
