WHATSAPP allows you to set self-destruct timers for ALL of your chats.

That means all the text will automatically delete after a selected period of time.

New update aims to strengthen your privacy – by destroying WhatsApp message.

You can set Disappearing Messages to turn on automatically for all new chats – without affecting existing chats.

And two new durations have been added for Disappearing Messages, 24 hours and 90 days.

So now you can choose from a total of four options: 24 hours, 7 days, 90 days or Off.

WhatsApp says: “Determining the length of the message will be in your hands.

“We’re used to leaving a digital copy of everything we type without even thinking about it.

“It’s the equivalent of a note-taker following us to permanently record everything we’ve said.

“This is why we introduced disappearing notifications last year and more recently as a way for photos and videos to disappear instantly after being viewed once.”

The new WhatsApp feature starts rolling out today.

So if you still don’t see it, try updating your apps or simply wait a few days.

Turning on Automatic Disappearance Notifications works for all live chats.

And either party in the chat can choose the settings.

It won’t change or delete any of your existing chats, so don’t worry about losing old information.

A message will also be displayed warning those in the chat that the messages will be deleted.

This message will tell you how long you have to read the texts before they disappear forever.

Do not believe it

Remember that this system is not perfect.

Someone can still take a screenshot or copy your text to record them.

So if you really want to keep something off the internet, consider not posting it – unless you’re messaging someone you completely trust.

All Disappearing Messages remain end-to-end encrypted, just like regular WhatsApp apps.

WhatsApp said: “Living away from family and friends for more than a year has made it clearer than ever that just because we can’t talk face-to-face, it doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice our privacy. their personal relationships”.

“We believe that Disappearing Messages and end-to-end encryption are two key features that define what it means to be a private messaging service today.

“And brings us one step closer to the feel of a face-to-face conversation.”

To use this feature, update your WhatsApp app and then go to Privacy Settings.

You will find the new feature in the Default Message Timer.
