Westchester officer accused of harassing Hispanic neighbors

A longtime Mamaroneck officer has turned the American Dream into a nightmare for her Hispanic neighbors with a “relentless” six-year campaign of stalking, spitting, verbal abuse and filming, according to a lawsuit.

Louise Dunaway, 75, clerk in the village for 30 years; her husband Douglas, 76; and son Michael have an “agenda” to evict their neighbors from the Staub Court, a private road at the end of a cul-de-sac, according to Manhattan federal court papers.

“I’m going to get my gun and kill your Sp-C ass, and your wife, and your newborn child,” Michael Dunaway, 55, reportedly cried out in April 2018.

Michael Dunaway, who was arrested this week for violating a protective order by dumping human urine on his neighbor’s property, has at least two residents on the block physically disabled, according to police and the complaint filed by Jason and Ana Deleon and Walter Gehring attacked and his Peruvian wife Ariela.

The younger Dunaway spits on Deleon and Gehring’s properties daily; dumps dog poo, urine and trash on his neighbors’ properties; shines neon lights in their windows; logs them entering or leaving their homes and “constantly throwing rocks,” accuse them in court filings.

Once he lay down on the Deleon’s front steps to prevent her from going inside; regularly lets go of his radio and car alarm; and left shards of glass hidden among leaves and other debris on the Gehring’s driveway, they claim in court records.

The Dunaways terrorize the Deleons and their 5-year-old daughter “full-time, daily… viciously,” who fears Michael will kill Ana, who the lawsuit says grew up on the block.

They have filed a litany of seemingly false reports against the Deleons and the Gehrings, and frequently hug the Mamaroneck village police officers who respond to their calls, the families allege in court filings.

The Dunaways’ “daily barrage” of insults includes calling the Deleons, the Gehrings, their family, friends, and tenants the N-word or “w-backs,” “f-king sp-cs,” “damn foreigners.” claim the terrorized families.

Douglas Dunaway said he was unaware of the lawsuit and declined to comment. The Deleons and Gehrings are seeking unspecified damages. Westchester officer accused of harassing Hispanic neighbors
