West Indian hero Carlos Brathwaite has had a car stolen AND is on the hunt for Golden Duck on a shocking day at the English club’s cricket debut

WEST INDIES hero Carlos Brathwaite had a day to forget on Saturday.

The all-rounder, who won the 2016 Twenty20 World Cup, 33, made his Birmingham & District Premier League debut for Knowle & Dorridge CC at the weekend.

But Brathwaite endured a disastrous Saturday afternoon on and off the pitch in the first game of the league season.

The former Windies star, who last represented his country in 2019, hit numbers of 0/31 from just four overs in his first bowl in six months against Leamington CC.

Brathwaite then scooped a long jump into the hands of a fielder of his FIRST BALL in English club cricket when he was out for a golden duck.

The all-rounder later revealed he had his too CAR STOLEN.

Reflecting on his bizarre afternoon, Brathwaite tweeted: “What a day yesterday…

“First time in a game of bowling after an injury in six months…

“First ballente from a long jump…

“Car stolen…”

However, Brathwaite was in remarkably good spirits despite his shocking Saturday.

On Easter Sunday morning he continued: “But you know what, woke up this morning, the sun is shining and thanks.

“Happy Easter everyone.”

Brathwaite joined Knowle & Dorridge after signing for County T20 side Birmingham Bears last year.

The club had high hopes for their overseas pro, even dubbing themselves ‘The Home of Carlos Brathwaite’ on their social media.

But after coming up offense as a fourth-change bowler, Brathwaite failed to show why he was such a big part of the Windies roster in the 2010s.

The all-rounder was slammed through the park as he went from four wicketless sets of six at 7.75 runs per over.

K&D fans, who famously smashed Ben Stokes for four straight sixes to win the 2016 T20 World Cup Finals, were itching to see Brathwaite with the bat.

Brathwaite chased just 228 to win from his 50 overs and finished fifth at 76-3.

However, the explosive hitter went after Leamington spinner Dinuk da Silva with his first ball.

Da Silva threw a long jump down that Brathwaite had horribly mistimed and spooned it into the air.

K&D eventually lost by 12 carries after slipping to 212 all-outs with just one ball.
