Wayans “predicted” Chris Rock’s Oscar hit in this video.

Turns out, Will Smith’s infamous slap in the face, heard around the world, wasn’t the first “smackdown” to be linked to Chris Rock.
Shawn Wayans seemingly predicted the future of the world Viral Oscar moment 2022 – at Will Smith casually strolled onto the stage and smacked his lips the creator of “Everybody Hates Chris” for making a bald joke about Jada Pinkett Smith — way, way back 2000 MTV VMAs.
Shawn’s brother, Marlon Wayans, a forward-looking clip reappeared by Shawn, 51, posing as garbage-talking rock at the Millennium Music Awards show. The above two and a half minute clip has an ending that is eerily similar to Sunday’s violent Oscar night debacle.
“Maaaan not to ‘kick’ a brother when he’s down… BUT that’s exactly what we predicted,” Marlon, 49, posted on social media alongside a clip of his brother making the crowd laugh.
The Scary Movie star continued, “When art imitates life, then LIFE actually happens. S–t we were way ahead of our time. #thesejustjokes let’s laugh again.”
The now-viral clip – which has amassed millions of views on Youtube, Twitter and Instagram – features Shawn rocking a cream suit and cracking brutal jokes at the all-star audience. As the ‘Little Man’ actor paced the stage, he called out celebs like Britney Spears, Jay-Z, Destiny’s Child, attorney Johnnie Cochran and Diddy.
Yes, Diddy – who reportedly brokered peace talks between Smith and Rock after Sunday’s Oscar debacle – plays a pivotal role in the role of the Wayans brother: a look-alike appears on stage to smack the fake skirt to the ground for running with his clever mouth.

Amused fans on all social networks could not help but notice the similarities from the year 2000 and, unfortunately, 22 years later. “Always been ahead of you guys,” one user agreed with Marlon’s post.
“Not Marlon Wayans, who predicted the slap. I’m weak,” another joked on twitter. A viewer interfered“Will Smith laughed his ass off that too!”
One wrote: “Life really closes. ⭕️,” and someone added, “Shawn sounds exactly like Chris Rock 😂😂.”
Meanwhile, Marlon discussed the Oscars dispute People during the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. He told the publication that he has known Rock, 57, since he was 14 and Smith, 53, since he was 20.
The “King Richard” actor was “always such a classy guy,” Marlon said, and “I love them both.”
He added: “Chris Rock, he’s always Chris Rock; that’s to be expected from Chris Rock. And sometimes, when you’re best friends, the worst things happen, and I wish it hadn’t. … [I] I hope they search and solve it.”
The GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra star said that to be a comedian, “you have to be able to crack jokes. You never know what someone’s going through… they made the wrong joke on the wrong day. And sometimes you meet the wrong person at the wrong moment… It was just bad timing.”
