Watch veteran Stewart Cink send the Masters crowd WILD with an incredible hole-in-one on Augusta’s 16th hole

STEWART CINK hit the 16th hole in Augusta to record the first hole-in-one of the 2022 Masters.

The 48-year-old American hasn’t had much to shout about in the last two days but did it with an incredible ace.

Heading to the 16th hole on his second round, Cink was up four for the day and eight overall for the day.

But he immediately recovered two shots with a stunning ace Par three 16.

Cink, who lined up 170 yards from the pin, knew it was good as soon as he hit it.

He stood back to admire his work as the ball sailed through the air.

And when the ball hit the green, there was an excited murmur among Augusta’s guests who had gathered around the 16th hole.

This excitement grew steadily as Cink’s ball backspin and slowly moves towards the hole.

The 2009 Open winner had judged the line of his shot perfectly, the ball shooting down the slope towards the hole with laser-like precision.

Finally, the first ace of the week came and put the crowd in a wild mood.

To make things even better for Cink, he celebrated the hole-in-one with his son Reagan, who was a caddie for the veteran golfer.

But despite Cink’s incredible performance, it’s unlikely he’ll improve on his best-ever Masters finish – third place in 2008.

He bogeyed the next hole after his ace and finished his second round seven over par through 36 holes.

He seems doomed to miss the predicted cut for the weekend, which currently stands at +4.
