DUSTIN POIRIER and Charles Oliveira faced off for the first time this morning ahead of their eagerly anticipated lightweight title fight.

Lightweight King Oliveira will look to defend her first belt against the former interim owner on Sunday morning at UFC 269 main event.

The two best 155-pound athletes on the planet have yet to cross paths with each other in the build-up to their epic showdown.

But that changed Thursday night during a pre-match press conference at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The couple are close and respectful to each other as they answer questions from the media.

But they had a tense confrontation right after the climax of the press.

Victory over Oliveira in form will see fan favorites Poirier became the undisputed ruler of the stacked lightweight division at the second question.
