COMOROS goalkeeper Salim Ben Boina stunned people with the shock of his Africa Cup of Nations win over Morocco with a stunning save.
Lion atlas win 2-0 thanks to goals from Selim Amallah and Zakaria Aboukhlal but things would have been worse for the Comoros without the heroic Ben Boina.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper saved the Coelacanths from a solid goal in the 77th minute when he denied three different Moroccan players from close range.
First, goalkeeper Martigues blocked Nayef Aguerd’s mighty header.
But Ben Boina failed to make it there as he also saved a penalty kick from Sevilla star Youssef En-Nesyri in the 83rd minute.
However, the 2in keeper could not keep a clean sheet as Amallah broke the deadlock in the 16th minute and Aboukhlal sealed the victory just a minute before half-time.
Vahid Halilhodzic’s men have secured a place in the final round of 16 of the Copa Africa at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium.
