Warzone developers have made another attempt to get the gas mask right with a brand new set of animation fixes for Season 3.
The Gas Mask has been the subject of many updates throughout the life of Warzone, and Season 3 was just another addition to that long list.
While Season 2 Reloaded brought some fixes to the self-preservation item, we’ve made another set of changes that should help make it feel less intrusive at crucial moments.
Warzone Season 3 takes another hit at improving gas masks
Players can now soar through the storm without worrying about their masks causing them to not deploy their parachutes.
This was an incredibly common problem and according to the Sticky Notesthe developers were tired of seeing it happen.
“The gas mask remains an ongoing focus of our quality of life efforts,” the developers explained.
“It plays an important role in both gameplay and visceral Call of Duty feel, but we felt like we’d seen too many videos of players jumping into the gas from great heights, and the game has the gas masks animation wrongly prioritized parachute… and we all know how this scenario ends.”

In addition, if a character is hit by Nebula V missiles in the middle of a gunfight, the life-saving item will no longer be used.
Instead, the animation lingers until a player stops looking into their scope, interrupting someone pursuing their target.
This definitely won’t be the last gas mask update, but it’s a welcome patch that will surely ease some frustration in the community.
