BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA / KFTA) – Walmart announced that the company will be extending the COVID break through March 31, 2022.

According to the press release, the policy provides up to two weeks of paid time off if an affiliate contracts COVID-19, if a facility is subject to mandatory quarantine, or if an affiliate is subject to a supplier health care service, government agency, or Walmart requires isolation. This is in addition to the standard paid time options.

Walmart announced that it will continue to waive copayments for medical and therapeutic services through Doctor On Demand’s virtual doctor visits for associates in the company’s health plan.

The company will also provide 10 free counseling sessions through Resources for Life to all associates in the United States and their family members, including dependents up to age 26.

Walmart implemented COVID leave in March 2020. Walmart says more than 90% of campus office workers have been fully vaccinated.

Vaccination incentives were recently reintroduced for frontline associates to receive $150 after an associate was fully immunized, according to the release.
