Viral TikTok takes you to KFC’s first-ever fine dining restaurant

An Australian TikToker went viral afterwards As you review KFC’s first gourmet experience, you might be surprised.
TikToker user Samantha Khater has given her fans an exclusive look back at KFC’s first fine dining experience – which is only available during the restaurant’s week-long pop-up in Australia.
Khater’s clip, which has garnered over 1.6 million views, features an 11-course meal designed by the fast-food chain to allow customers to enjoy the fast food in one setting.
KFC fine dining goes viral on TikTok

This is your run-of-the-mill KFC meal – but the fast food chain is trying something different in Australia.
The video also shows customers being greeted with a glass of champagne and entering a space outfitted with chicken-shaped light fixtures, black tablecloths and wine pairings for each course.
A course could be described as “charged” wings served over a blazing bed of charcoal.
Others included popcorn chicken with gnocchi, gold-crusted drumstick, and a dish that had foodies licking off their plates a sauce reincarnation of the chain’s founder, Colonel Sanders.
The pop-up restaurant’s desserts look like something that would be served in a 5-star restaurant, as diners were given a choice of “chocolate mousse with popping candy” or “KFC chips with ice cream.”

Foodies have a viral reaction to KFCs gourmet experience
TikTok foodies and KFC fans are now responding to the viral experience with mixed reactions.
“Nice food but the food tastes and looks like fast food lol. Just a different ambience,” said one user.
“Which country is this? We hardly have any options where I’m from. Also, until recently we had to pay for spices because they didn’t give free ones,” said a second user.
“Did they really just do KFC for the ultra-rich?” another TikToker asked.
It’s unclear if the fast-food chain will bring the pop-up restaurant back, as fans are divided over the idea of fine dining at KFC.
