Video shows NYPD rescue boy falling from sixth floor window

Pulsating video captures the tense moment as NYPD officers rescue a 4-year-old boy who fell from a sixth-story window in the Bronx and rush him to the hospital.
The boy appeared to push an air conditioner out of a window at NYCHA’s Patterson Houses on East 143rd Street in Mott Haven Tuesday afternoon. According to police, his mother was at home at the time.
Police were called to the building and found the child “lying knowingly and alertly on the sidewalk,” police said.



the dramatic shots, released by the NYPD on WednesdayIt shows a passerby – surrounded by police officers – taking care of the boy on the ground. The bystander handed the child to an officer who ran with him to a waiting police car.
Police officers drove the boy to Lincoln Medical Center, where paramedics and more police officers attended to him as he was placed on a gurney.
He was listed in stable condition, police said.



“Yesterday when a 4-year-old boy fell from a 6th floor window in the Bronx, residents caring for the boy immediately called 9-1-1. In a coordinated effort by residents, emergency services and officials from @NYPDPSA7the boy was taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition,” the NYPD tweeted.
