Video shows mass slaughter erupting at a “chaos” boat party in Florida

An annual boat party event titled “Mayhem at Lake George 2022” turned into chaos when a mass brawl broke out among attendees.

The event, held annually on Lake George in Florida, included a number of boats and a floating barge – “the stage” – with a DJ on Saturday.

Partygoers dressed in bathing suits were seen punching and throwing each other near “the stage”. The lake is about 48 miles north of Orlando.

Video released by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office showed at least four or five men at the center of the brawl, with many partygoers looking on.

This was announced by the sheriff’s office The Independent On Friday, one person was seriously injured as a result of the brawl and had to be flown to the hospital by plane. He should press charges.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood told NBC Miami that law enforcement had trouble getting to the injured man.

“It took a while to get medical attention. It took a while to get him to a landing zone where air had to be improvised to land, which in itself was a feat. They basically ended up on a postage stamp,” Mr Chitwood said.

Several law enforcement agencies were on patrol when the fighting erupted, and officials said there had been multiple arrests and subpoenas.

It’s unclear what prompted the brawl, which the sheriff said resulted in 108 warnings, 38 boating subpoenas and five arrests — three for drunk boating and two for disorderly conduct.

“People are just out there having a good time but like anything else, when you have a big concentration of people like this and alcohol is involved there are some incidents,” Mr Chitwood said.

The Facebook page for the event suggests more than 2,500 people had signed up to attend, and a date for 2023 has already been announced.
