Victorya Venise gives birth to healthy baby in hotel toilet

A woman on a business trip in Georgia unexpectedly gave birth to her son last week while sitting on the toilet in her hotel bathroom, police officers said.

The surprise delivery came as Louisiana’s Victoya Venise feared she had contracted the same stomach disease that plagued her 4-year-old daughter, according to Irvine police.

The pregnant woman, who was suffering from stomach pains, went to the restroom at the Atlanta-area hotel and soon discovered that she wasn’t sick and was actually in labor.

“I turned around and it was the baby and I was like ‘gasp.’ I hurried and got him out of the restroom,” she told NBC affiliate WXIA-TV.

“I found a towel and wrapped him up. I sat on the toilet and called my mother. I was like, ‘Mom, I just had the baby.’ I thought, ‘He fell in the toilet.’ She said, ‘Call 911, call 911,'” Venise reportedly said.

The mother and her baby Rocky were treated despite the dangerous delivery and were discharged from hospital later in the day in good condition, the article said.

Venise, a single mother, had planned to put the boy up for adoption. But his wild entry into the world on April Fool’s Day reportedly gave her a change of heart.

“I feel like the experience bonded me with him and made me want to keep him. So I will keep him.

“It accidentally taught me that you can do it. Although I’m a single mother, you can take care of him. It gave me more courage and made me believe that I can do this. If I can do that, then I have to be able to do a lot.”
