Vanguard Season 2 Reloaded brings 12v12 Arms Race mode: rules, vehicles, more

The Call of Duty Vanguard Season 2 Reloaded patch introduces a new mode to the game called Arms Race. Here are the rules for 12v12 mode, including a look at the new vehicles you can use in the Vanguard playlist.

Sledgehammer Games is adding loads of content to Vanguard in the Season 2 Reloaded update, including a slew of rewards and ranked play changes, and new weapons like the Armaguerra 43 SMG.

The studio aims to offer players a variety of ways to engage with Vanguard, and the season already looks packed with new content.

As for the arms race, it will join the numerous modes and playlists in the Call of Duty library and take place on the game’s largest map.

Vanguard’s new Arms Race mode is a 12v12 mode in which teams attempt to control all five bases on the snowy map. Players can spawn on the bases once they are captured, which also creates defensive gates for friendly players to move around in and pose an obstacle to the other team.

The map, Alpen, has seven potential bases, but only five will be active during a match to thicken up the action a little more for players to fight over.

Arms Race will also feature the cash system to facilitate buy stations hidden in friendly bases to pick up weapons, killstreaks, field upgrades and custom loadouts.

Players can earn money by capturing objectives and shattering enemies to collect credits from their bodies.

Arms Race brings three vehicles to Vanguard’s multiplayer.

Alpen is a large map, so the developers are bringing new vehicles to the game mode to allow players to move quickly and strategically across the field.

The new motorbike can be called up once by anyone free of charge and at any time. It’s a two-player vehicle and the best choice for moving quickly across the Alps, but you’ll be vulnerable while driving.

As for the CD12 transport, whole squads of four can come across the map for only a few hundred dollars. The developers said there will be a big explosion if it gets damaged, which could make it a sneaky way to destroy a base’s gate.

Vanguard’s Tank will be the most expensive vehicle in Arms Race, and with good reason. The single seater will have built-in flick missiles and a turret, making it the perfect base buster to take over matches.

Players will be able to explore all of these features once Arms Race lands in Call of Duty Vanguard following the March 22nd Season 2 Reloaded update.
