Unprecedented: Everything you need to know about Alex Holder’s Jan. 6 Trump documentary

The trailer for Alex Holder’s documentary on the Trump family is out.

The documentary titled Unprecedentedis a three-part series about former US President Donald Trump and his children.

In the two-minute trailer, the former president sits with his adult children Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump for interviews with Holder.

The trailer also features footage from the Trump presidential campaign, including moments when Ivanka calls her father “the people’s president.”

Unprecedented focuses on the dire moments of the Trump presidency, including the events leading up to the January 6 riot and footage from the day itself.

In the clips, Trump supporters can be seen screaming and storming the Capitol.

At one point, Trump says to a crowd, “Let’s go down Pennsylvania Avenue,” while at another, his son Eric says into the phone, “For the sake of the country, we’re going to get these guys.”

When and where will Unprecedented be visible?

An exact release date has not yet been announced, but the film is due out this summer and has been purchased by Discovery Plus.

Who is Alex Holder and why were his clips subpoenaed from this documentary?

Alex Holder is a British filmmaker.

In recent months, Holder has been at the center of an unlikely political storm after it was revealed that the investigative committee into the January 6 attacks had issued a subpoena.

The subpoena asked the filmmaker to turn over hours of footage of Trump and his family shot for his documentary in the final weeks of 2020 and on the day of the US Capitol storming.

The committee also requested that Holder interview the committee members himself, to which he agreed.

It came just before the fifth public session of the National Commission to Investigate the Attack on the United States Capitol Complex.

“As a British filmmaker, I had no intention of getting into this,” Holder said The Independent the situation. “We just wanted to better understand who the Trumps were and what motivated them to stay in power so desperately.”

He added, “When we began this project in September 2020, we could never have foreseen that one day our work would be subpoenaed by Congress.”

Yes. The trailer, which runs nearly two and a half minutes, was part of the installment of footage that Holder turned over to the House Select Committee.

Holder also appeared privately before the committee on June 23.
