Ukraine-Russia War LIVE – Monster Vladimir Putin has humbled himself in latest staged update, experts claim

AN EXPERT has claimed a “revealing” conversation between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and his defense minister sent a clear message – but not the one he was hoping for.

Russian media broadcast a painfully staged conversation between the Russian president Wladimir Putin and Sergei Shoigu, his defense minister, where the pair discussed and reflected on concerns about the conflict.

Putin said to Shoigu: “We always have to think, but in this case even more – about it to preserve the life and health of our soldiers and officers”.

Commenting on his “alleged” concern for the welfare of his troops on the ground, the President added: “Please submit proposals for our award Soldiers for state awards.

“It is clear that in such cases it cannot be otherwise, these are different awards, but I want them all to know: in our understanding, they are all heroes, in everyone’s understanding Russia.”

Speak with The TelegraphLeonid Volkov, chief of staff to jailed Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny, said the broadcast was a “revealing moment”.

Volkov added that Putin’s public statements are always just what they wanted to hear.

“When Putin says something in public, it is almost always because the presidential administration has measured public opinion and concluded that it is now necessary to speak in order to score political points.”
