UK weather – Brits are flocking to the beach in droves to enjoy the spring sunshine ahead of a 18C warmer next week

BRITS have flocked to the beach this weekend to catch some rays – and next week will be even warmer.
Given the warm spring sun, it’s no surprise that beachgoers today decided to visit and enjoy it all.
The Met Office has said this is a bright day for many, with early showers fading as we move into the afternoon.
The beautiful weather in the south is only getting better as even hotter temperatures are forecast across the country next week.
The spring sun will not abate on the horizon with nice warm weather.
In the southern parts of the country, temperatures could rise to around 17ºC or 18ºC.

BBC weather forecaster Tomasz Schafernaker said: “Monday is a much better day, winds are getting weaker, there will be some sunshine, still some showers in the northern parts of the country but in the south it’s really a better picture and is it will take the next few days to next week.”
“In fact, temperatures could reach around 17C or 18C in the south of the country. So a mixed weekend, but better next week.”
However, there are yellow weather warnings in some parts of the UK this weekend – particularly in coastal areas.
The Met Office has warned that windy weather with coastal gales and heavy rain will develop on Saturday afternoon.
Gusts in coastal areas can reach 80-90km/h and perhaps up to 60km/h in the most exposed parts of Cornwall and South West Wales.
Sunday is expected to be blustery across the UK, with weather warnings also in place in parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
This was announced by weather forecaster Jim Dale to express Britain can expect hot weather “quite early” this year.
He said he “wouldn’t be surprised to see 26C, 27C, 28C” in mid-April.
