Two women injured in collision near Pine Island


Pine Island, MN (KROC-AM News) – Two women were transported to St. Mary yesterday with injuries in a traffic accident a few miles west of Pine Island.
The State Patrol said the crash was reported shortly after 4:30 p.m. along Highway 57 at the intersection with Goodhue County Road. Officials reported that Savanna Smith, 25, Kenyon, was driving west on County Road when her SUV collided with a vehicle traveling south on Highway 57. The driver was was again identified as Stefani Jones, 35, of Madison Wisconsin.
The State Patrol said both drivers were wearing seat belts. Their injuries were described as not life-threatening.
