Two men were injured in separate shootings in East Oakland.

OAKLAND – Two men were shot within two hours of Monday afternoon in different parts of East Oakland, authorities said.

Both men were transported separately to the hospital and one of them was in critical condition, authorities said.

At this time, police do not believe the shooting is related.

The man in critical condition was shot around 1:56 p.m. Monday at the 4100 block of East 12th Street.

He was taken privately to the hospital and the person who drove him there is being held for questioning, authorities said.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests have been announced.

The other shooting happened around noon this afternoon in the area of ​​65th Avenue and International Avenue.
