Two children die in Galveston apartment fire

According to the authorities, the emergency services searched the house upon arrival and found two children, around two and four years old, who were in the same room together.

The two children were later taken to the hospital, where they died.

Authorities say the children’s father was at home and was able to escape unharmed. He was also treated in the hospital.

The Galveston Fire Department said heavy smoke and fire were on the second floor, causing extensive damage throughout the home.

Authorities could not immediately say who reported the fire.

The fire department is investigating the cause of the fire.
