Two teenage boys have been charged with murder after a 35-year-old man was found dead at a Dorset home.
Sleuth launch a murder investigation after Edward Reeve’s body was found at a property on Heath Road, Christchurch, last week.
Two 16-year-old boys – from Christchurch and Bournemouth – have been charged with murder.
The couple, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Poole Magistrates Court tomorrow.
A 15-year-old Christchurch area girl arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on bail.
Detective Inspector Simon Huxter said: “Following a detailed and expeditious investigation, we have consulted with Crown Prosecution Service, which authorized the charges.
“Edward Reeve’s family has been updated with this development and our thoughts remain with them at this truly terrible time.”
Edward’s mother Jayne Newey, 64, pays tribute to her son, was a local musician and worked in customer service.
She said: “I just don’t believe it. It just doesn’t seem real. It seems unfair. He doesn’t deserve it if you ask me.”
Jayne tells how her son moved from Buckinghamshire to Christchurch about 10 years ago but developed a drug addiction.
She reveals her fear of his death and claims he has been associated with low life people.
Jayne added: “I’ve been suspicious of something like this happening for a long time.”
Dorset Police said the victim’s family is being supported by specialist officers following the horrific incident at around 7.53pm on Wednesday.
Police are continuing to appeal for information.
Mr Huxter said: “I would like to reiterate my thanks to the public for their support after the appeal and the information they have provided to support our inquiries.
“The investigation is still ongoing, so please contact us if you believe you have information that could assist.”
