During her usual kind of cooking show, Gourmetmei decided to cook an expensive piece of a fish called Amaidai Tilefish.

According to the streamer, the fillet alone costs $80. This obviously resulted in her being constantly on the lookout to discourage her cats from grabbing a quick snack.

However, no amount of cat watching would save her dish in the end. As she turned to prepare the rest of the meal, one of her cats took her chance and snatched up the $80 treat, leaving Gourmetmei absolutely stunned.

“I’m so devastated,” she said. “I’m speechless, I can’t believe it.”

Luckily for her, she was actually able to salvage her main course before the cat thief could do any real harm to him. After securing the fish, she finished cooking the rest of the dish and was even able to enjoy it.
